The recently released iPhone 14 series could have several issues that prevent iMessage and FaceTime from functioning properly, according to Apple. It is advised for users of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models to update their smartphone to the most recent version of iOS, according to the Cupertino tech giant, who claims that the problems have been resolved in iOS 16. Apple claims that users of the iPhone 14 series may not be getting iMessages and FaceTime calls, or they may see a green bubble rather than a blue bubble while texting another Apple device.
The Cupertino-based tech company has noted via a support page on its website the possibility that iMessage and FaceTime on the most recent iPhone 14 series smartphones may not function properly. This may be the result of numerous bugs, according to Apple. The company has compiled a list of possible issues that users may experience after setting their new devices.
Apple added that users could be dealing with one or more of these issues. First, iMessages and FaceTime calls cannot be received by iPhone 14 series users. Second, while sending a message to another Apple device, users now see a green message bubble rather than a blue one. Third, two different threads for a same conversation may appear. Finally, according to Apple, the recipient of the message can see a user’s message as coming from a different account.

For instance, the messages might seem to have been sent from the user’s email address rather than their phone number. Apple claims that the most recent iOS 16 update addresses this problem. Therefore, the company advises users of the iPhone 14 series to update their smartphones as soon as they are done setting up their smartphones. Users should go to Settings > General > Software Update to update their iPhones.
If users of the iPhone 14 series are still having the problem indicated above, the Cupertino-based company advised them to go to Settings > Cellular > Select the phone number you want to use. While doing the steps, make sure the phone line is activated. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > after that choose the number you want to use. For FaceTime, go to Settings > FaceTime > Select the phone number you want to use.
During the “Far Out” event on September 7, Apple introduced the iPhone 14 series, which includes the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
