The launch date for the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro has been set for October 6, the company declared on Tuesday. The company has previously hinted that the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro’s successors will be unveiled at Google I/O earlier this year. Its next hardware launch event is expected to take place in a month throughout a live event. The Google Pixel Watch, another product the company teased in May, will also be unveiled at the upcoming Made by Google event.

The company announced on its US website on Tuesday that the date of its next Made by Google launch event will be October 6. “On October 6, 2022, at 10 am ET [7:30pm IST], we will officially introduce the latest Google Pixel device portfolio during a live event,” the landing page states.

The Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, as well as the Google Pixel Watch, will all be unveiled on October 6th, according to Google. New Nest smart home products will also be unveiled by the company.

Although the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were first unveiled at Google I/O in May, the company has now confirmed that they will be powered by second-generation Tensor SoCs and will come with Android 13 out of the box. According to Google, the new chipset will give users useful, personalised features for security, photos, videos, and speech recognition. The Google Pixel Watch, which was first hinted at in May, would also be unveiled at the event. According to Google, it is the first smartwatch created and manufactured by the company, combining its software with Fitbit’s expertise of fitness and health. The wristwatch will operate on the new WearOS system from the company and be compatible with all Pixel and Android handsets.
