Apple Reportedly Planning To Launch New M2 MacBook Pro In Early 2023

Apple Pushes New MacBook Pro With M2 Chip To 2023 Reports

Highlights:

  • According to reports, the new MacBook Pro will launch in Q12023.
  • The MacBook 14 and 16 Pro are reportedly part of the lineup.
  • Additionally, Apple is developing a Mac Pro with an M2 Ultra or M2 Extreme chip.

New Mac models are apparently set to launch in 2023, as Apple appears to have finished releasing new models this year. A new MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and Mac Pro will be released by Apple next year, according to renowned Apple analyst and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, though the exact release date is still unknown. The same analyst had previously predicted that Apple would release a new MacBook Pro this year with an upgraded M2 chip. He also predicted that the Cupertino-based tech behemoth would introduce a number of products in 2022.

According to Gurman’s Power On newsletter, “Apple is planning to launch the improved models—including M2-based versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros—in the first quarter of calendar 2023.” During his quarterly earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook made a similar statement. He claimed that the Apple’s product lineup for this year “is set.”

According to recent rumours, the upcoming Apple Mac Pro, which will be the company’s most powerful pc for creators, would include 192GB of RAM, 76 graphics cores, and 24 CPU cores (including 16 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores), making it the most powerful Mac ever. It’s likely to be powered by a “M2 Ultra” or “M2 Extreme” chip, an improved version of the M2 that will power the MacBook Air 13 and Pro 13 models in 2022. However, Apple will soon release new MacBook Pro 14 and 16 models featuring M2-series chipsets.

The MacBook Pro 14 and 16 were redesigned by the company last year with a new design (a notch on the screen) and M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. With the next-generation model, it will probably keep the trend going.

Apple quietly unveiled new iPads earlier this month, including the iPad Pro with M2 SoC and the iPad 10th generation. Last Monday, the models were made available for purchase in India. Costing Rs 81,900 is the Pro version with an 11-inch screen and Wi-Fi. The iPad 10th-Gen, which now has a sleeker look, is priced at Rs 44,900 for the 64GB Wi-Fi-only model.
