The company is likely to reveal the first glimpse of Android 13 during the event. Along with the Pixel 6a, Google is likely to unveil the much-anticipated Pixel Watch.

Here’s what you can anticipate from Google I/O 2022.

Android 13:

Android 13 is expected to be the main announcement at Google I/O 2022. Android 13 Beta 1 has already been launched for Pixel smartphones. Some of the main Android 13 features, such as enhanced notification permissions, a photo picker, language choices for individual apps, and so on, have been disclosed in the beta version.

The Android 13 rollout timetable is likely to be announced during the Google I/O event. The stable public release is expected to be available for download between August and October 2022.

Pixel 6a:

The Google Pixel 6a might be unveiled during Google I/O 2022. At its annual I/O events, Google has been unveiling its A-series Pixel smartphones. Therefore, we can anticipate Google to reveal the Pixel 6a in May.

Some information about the forthcoming Pixel smartphone has previously leaked. The Pixel 6a, according to sources, will use the same Tensor chip as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. It will come pre-installed with Android 12.

It will also include a 6.2-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. There is no news on whether the 6a will have high refresh rate support. The smartphone will have two cameras: a 12.2MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. An 8MP front camera sensor will be available for selfies.

Google did not introduce the Pixel 5a in India, but given that 5G network launch is scheduled in the second half of 2022, we may expect the Pixel 6A to come this time.

Pixel Watch:

Google’s first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, will be unveiled at Google I/O 2022. A Pixel Watch prototype was discovered on a table in a restaurant in the United States. The prototype indicated that the Pixel Watch would feature a circular dial surrounded by fairly thick bezels. On the right side of the watch, there is a crown for scrolling among apps and features.

The smartwatch is likely to have functionality such as ECG monitoring, heart rate monitoring, calorie counting, step counting, and so on. Pixel Watch will most likely support Bluetooth 5.2 and run Wear OS 3.1 out of the box. Google will release lots of new silicone bands compatible with its Watch. The Pixel Watch’s availability will be confirmed at the May 11 event.
