The upcoming Apple iPhone 12 has found itself leaked again on the famous blog Macotakara. The latest leak suggests that all the 4 models of iPhone 12, yes there will be 4 models, will have a different design than the last year’s iPhone 11.
The report does so by showing the dummy units of all the 4 variants of Apple iPhone 12.
In line with the previous leaks, this report, too, shows that iPhone 12 in 4 models spread across 3 different sizes. The reports tell that there will be a 5.4 inch and a 6.1 inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 max respectively. While another 6.1-inch variant will be iPhone 12 Pro and a 6.7-inch variant will be iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The report says, “All four phones have been shown to sport the same iPhone X like design, with an all-screen display and a notch to house the Face ID mechanism. The new dummies of the phone revealed by Macotakara don’t throw up too many surprises, with them not revealing much apart from the SIM card tray is moved to accommodate possibly a new 5G SIM.”
The reports say that the relocation of the SIM tray is being done so that Apple can increase space to accommodate Qualcomm’s Antenna in Package (AiP) module which will help the phone to connect to the superfast mmWave 5G network.
The Apple iPhone 12 is expected to get a new 120Hz ProMotion display, however, this feature is being reported to be exclusive to just the Pro variants. Reports suggest that the ProMotion display screens will have the capability of dynamic refresh which will allow them to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz depending on the task being carried out.
The other changes which will be seen on the iPhone 12 series will include a considerably smaller notch which could be due to the shrinkage of the FaceID sensor. The hardware for the tech could also support a wide-angle lens for the face unlocks from different positions.
The report said, “iPhone 12 is also said to feature updated autofocus than previous models. The camera improvements will also ensure better subject detection and slow-motion performance under low light. There is also expected to be a telephoto zoom upgrade from 2x to 3x optical zoom. Apart from this, the iPhone 12 Pro models are said to get a larger battery — as big as 4,400mAh — to handle the increased load caused by the faster refresh screen.”
