On Monday, the Oppo Reno 8 was launched in Indonesia. The most recent Oppo Reno-series 4G smartphone is available in two distinct colour options and includes a triple rear camera setup supported by AI (artificial intelligence), with a 64-megapixel. The Oppo Reno 8’s display features a 90Hz refresh rate, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 SoC powers the phone. With the potential to increase memory up to 13GB by using unused internal memory, the new device comes with a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. A 4,500mAh battery powers the Oppo Reno 8 and supports 33W SuperVOOC charging.

Price And Availability:

The cost of the recently released Oppo Reno 8 is IDR 49,99,000 (about Rs. 26,800) for the single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It is currently available for pre-order on several e-commerce sites, and it will go on sale starting on August 25. There are two colour choices available: Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black (translated).

The new Oppo Reno 8’s global availability and price details have not yet been disclosed.

Specifications:

The dual SIM (Nano) Oppo Reno 8 has a 6.43-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400) display with up to 90Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate, and it runs ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12. The display features a pixel density of 409ppi and 97 percent NTSC colour gamut coverage. The 4G phone is powered by an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 SoC, an Adreno 610 GPU, and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. As previously stated, unused internal storage can “expand” the available memory up to 13GB.

The Oppo Reno 8 has three rear cameras on the back, each with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an f/1.7 lens, and a 79-degree field of view. A 2-megapixel mono sensor with an f/2.4 lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/3.3 lens are also included in the camera unit. The Reno 8 series phone has a 32-megapixel IMX709 sensor with an f/2.4 lens in front for selfies. Different professional photography and videography modes, including night photography, slow motion, time-lapse photography, panorama, portrait, and extra HD, are supported by both the back and front cameras. Additionally, it provides 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage.

The Oppo Reno 8 offers 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, OTG, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. An accelerometer, gravity sensor, geomagnetic sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and pedometer are among the sensors onboard. The device supports a face unlock feature and has an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The company gave the Oppo Reno 8 a 4,500mAh battery, just like the Oppo Reno 8 5G. On a five-minute charge, the battery is supposed to provide up to 2.68 hours of talk time and supports 33W SuperVOOC charging. Additionally, the Oppo Reno 8 weighs 182 g and has dimensions of 73x159x7.6mm.
