At its Far Out event, Apple officially unveiled the second-generation AirPods Pro after months of speculations. Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro 2 along with the iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch 8, Watch Ultra, and other products. According to Apple, the device’s ANC and Transparency Mode have got substantial upgrades. The stem of the earbuds has been equipped with touch controls for media playback. Several modifications have been made to the charging case as well, including the precision finding feature and in-built music system.

Most of us confront this dilemma on a regular basis. When we remove the earbuds from the case, we often lose track of where we put the case. However, people who are forgetful will find utmost relief in the precision finding feature. The Apple blog stated that “with Precision Finding, users with an U1-enabled iPhone can locate their charging case with guided directions.” Currently, users may locate devices using the Find My app on their MacBook or iPhone, but precision finding will provide the exact location of the case. For instance, if the device was kept inside your cupboard, you could actually determine which room’s cupboard the device was kept in by using precision finding.

The AirPods Pro 2 have a longer battery life than their predecessors. According to Apple, this results in an additional 1.5 hours of listening time. So, with Active Noise Cancellation, customers can now receive a total of up to six hours. People can enjoy up to 30 hours of combined listening time with Active Noise Cancellation in this situation, which is a significant increase of six hours over the previous generation.

Along with a MagSafe charger, Qi-certified charging mat, or the Lightning cable, the AirPods Pro can also be charged with an Apple Watch charger. Additionally, the device has an inbuilt speaker that delivers louder tones.

Beginning on Friday, September 9, the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) will be available for online purchase in the US and more than 50 other countries and regions for $249 / £249, with in-store purchases starting on Friday, September 23.
