The Nothing Phone (1), launched on 12th July, has already received its second software update bumping up the OS version to Nothing OS 1.1.0. This update brought a number of fixes, camera improvements along with a freshly designed changelog with emojis.

This update is still based on the Android 12 and also gets the July 2022 Android security patch. A 117 MB download, the update comes with a large changelog full of smaller changes. The update even adds the Tesla integration feature that Nothing founder showed off during the launch of the phone earlier this month.

Camera Improvements

Nothing OS 1.1.0 will house camera improvements with improved picture quality and reduced noise in low-light photography. The camera app will also let the users use the Glyph lights feature in portrait mode.

Other Changes

The firm, with its latest OS update, has also fixed the lockscreen bug that would sometimes hide the fingerprint unlock icon completely, rendering the users unable to unlock the phone using their fingerprint and forcing them to use their Pin, Pattern or Password to unlock their phone.

Nothing Phone (1) also gets the July 2022 security patch and optimises the Glyph lights in terms of reliability.

The company also said that this update will improve Face Unlock performance and will fix many other unspecified bugs.

How To Update

If you want to update your Nothing Phone (1) to the latest Nothing OS 1.1.0 follow these simple steps:

  1. Head over to Setting
  2. Click on System
  3. Click on  System Update
  4. Click on “Download and Install” on the bottom right side of your screen

If you do not see the changelog of the new update, you can expect it to hit your phone later this week.
