WhatsApp has been the go-to messaging app for millions of people around the world. The app has been continuously updating its features to make it more user-friendly and efficient. One of the latest updates is the ability to edit sent messages.

Have you ever sent a message and immediately realized that there was a typo, or you forgot to add something important? With the new update, you can easily edit sent messages.

Now you can edit the sent messages on Android and iOS devices within 15 minutes.

Mark Zuckerberg has announced this feature. This is one of the most often requested features, and it is now accessible to WhatsApp users everywhere.

Here’s how to change a WhatsApp message that has been sent:

Make sure you are running the most recent version of WhatsApp in order to use the edit message feature, If not, update it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Then,

1. Open WhatsApp and go to the chat where you sent the message you want to edit.

2. Tap and hold the message.

3. Select “Edit” from the menu that appears.

4. Make the necessary changes and tap “Send” again.

It’s that simple! This feature is particularly useful for those who frequently send messages in a hurry and may make mistakes.

However, it’s important to note that just like the delete message feature, the edited message will also have a label that indicates it has been edited. This is to ensure transparency in communication and prevent any misunderstandings.

Keep in mind that you have 15 minutes to update a message. After that, you can no longer edit it on WhatsApp. Both individual and group chats on WhatsApp support the usage of the edit feature. Select the three dots in the upper right corner of a recent text that you sent to a particular contact or group by long-pressing on it, then select “Edit.” You may now edit the message and send it again. Similarly, one is allowed to edit a single message multiple times.

At the moment, this new feature to modify your texts is applicable only to Android and IOS smartphones. If you are using WhatsApp on your PC or Mac, you can only edit the message through your primary device.

The new WhatsApp update to edit sent messages is an excellent addition to the app. It allows users to quickly correct any mistakes they may have made without having to send a follow-up message or feeling embarrassed about a typo. Make sure you utilise this new feature the App offers and see how it can make your messaging experience even better! The update may take a few more days to reach your smartphone because it is being rolled out in stages. Enjoy chatting.
