The Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept smartphone, which functions like a DSLR camera and features an adjustable lens, has been unveiled by Xiaomi. A video teasing the entire design and optical specifications of the smartphone co-developed with Leica was unveiled by the Chinese smartphone company. The new Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept enables users to add a lens to their smartphone camera. According to Xiaomi, users can use the smartphone’s camera with Leica’s high-end M-series lenses. Instead of the single 1-inch sensor found on the standard Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the concept model has two. The new design could make its debut as the first smartphone to accept interchangeable lenses.

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept on Wednesday in a video posted to its official Weibo account. The new gadget, created in collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica, enables mounting of a Leica M-series lens module on a phone.
