Overwatch 2: Everything We Know So Far

By TechTalkCounty

The game Overwatch 2 is the sequel to Overwatch, which was launched in 2016. The upcoming game was first revealed in 2019, and there is currently a closed beta version available.

The game will also be available on all platforms as before: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Will Overwatch 2 be free to play?

The first Overwatch was initially a paid title, but that will not be the case with the sequel. Overwatch 2 will be a free-to-play game, according to sources.

What’s new?

The combat style, characters, and gaming system will all be altered. Two new playable characters, Sojourn and Junker Queen, will be included in the upcoming game, as well as two new maps and a new game mode.

Like its predecessor, Overwatch 2 will be a first-person shooter.

Franchise Loyalty:

Existing gamers who return from the prequel will be recognised for their loyalty to the franchise. A founder’s pack will be provided to eligible gamers, which will include an exclusive icon, two Epic skins, and other benefits.

In PVP mode, the upcoming game will allow a 5v5 style rather than a 6v6 style. Overwatch 2 will be divided into two sections: PVP and PVE, which will be launched separately.

Early access for Overwatch 2 will begin on October 4, 2022, as revealed during the Xbox Showcase on June 16, 2022.
