Nothing Phone (1) Won’t Get Android 13 In 2022, Here’s Why

Nothing phone has confirmed that it has no plans to roll out the latest Android OS in 2022, but users don’t need to worry about that.

The Nothing Phone (1) will receive Android 13, but next year.

The company has stated that it won't be releasing the stable update for Android 13 until 2023 because it needs to first fine-tune the software upgrade with Nothing's hardware.

Nothing has indicated that the Android 13 OS update will begin rolling out to the devices in the first half of 2023.

The Nothing Phone (1) currently uses Android 12, and in the upcoming years, it will receive four years of security updates in addition to three years of major Android OS updates.

Nothing may benefit from this if it can release timely security updates and the newest Android software without many issues.

OnePlus attracted a lot of attention at first for its reliability in releasing the most recent updates and for providing a streamlined software experience with bloatware-free UI.

To recall, the Nothing Phone (1) was recently launched with a 6.55-inch 120Hz OLED screen, a 4,500mAh battery, a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup, and more.
